  Purpose of Marriage Did you know that marriage existed before man was created? The actual purpose of marriage has not been known by many people today, especially the youth.   What Really is Marriage? Marriage is a union between a man and a woman after they have gone through all the laid down procedures in the family, and are, therefore, legally, customary, and religiously joined together, declared and recognized as husband and wife. It is not marriage because you did wedding, it can be anyway, anyhow, anytime, anyplace convenient. What is needed is family approval and recognition. If the two families declare and recognize you as husband and wife, that is final, it is marriage.  This can be done at home by your family, it can be done in the court witnessed by your family or in church. No one should deceive you that there must be a certain kind ceremony with sharing food.
